Appendix E: APPX Environment Variables
Debugging - APPX/Net Variables
Debugging - APPX/Net Variables
APPX_NET_HEADERS
Enables APPX client/server network packet headers for debugging.
Valid values: 1
Default value: not set
APPX_NETIO_CODE
Specifies the debug level for APPX_NETIO_LOG. If you set APPX_NETIO_LOG, you should almost always set this to 0xFFFFFFFF.
Valid values: hex numbers between 0x00000000 and 0xFFFFFFFF
Default value: 0x00000000
APPX_NETIO_LOG
Specifies the log file name into which APPX/Net debugging information will be written, on the client side of an APPX/Net connection. If you experience problems with APPX/Net, set this variable and its companion debug level variable, APPX_NETIO_CODE, and client-side debugging information will be written to this file.
This is the higher level of a two-level protocol; the lower level is specified by APPX_NET_LOG. Both should be enabled when debugging APPX/Net or APPX/ODBC. It may also be helpful to set APPX_NETIO_SERVER and APPX_NET_LOG_MASK. See Debugging APPX/Net or APPX/ODBC (Remote) remarks for additional information.
Valid values: path to a write-enabled log file on the client
Default value: not set
APPX_NETIO_SERVER
Specifies the log file name into which APPX/Net debugging information will be written, on the server side of an APPX/Net connection. If you experience problems with APPX/Net, set this variable and server-side debugging information will be written to this file.
Valid values: path to a write-enabled log file on the server
Default value: not set
