Chapter 6: Decrypt the DMO database

Verify the decrypted database

  1. Run Verify Files Menu, Verify Integrity of APPXIO Files for every converted file.
  2. Compare the verified counts with the saved export counts.
  3. Check application records and totals.
  4. Export the converted files again with the same heading setting and compare them with the saved exports.
  5. Confirm that every file on the conversion inventory has been recreated without encryption. Retain the old key records for encrypted backups.

All nine eligible DMO files were confirmed unencrypted after replacement in this test. All 125 records were retained, and each final CSV matched its original byte for byte.
