Export every affected file first

This exercise reverses Chapter 5. The DMO ENCRYPTION group must be dedicated to the files in the conversion plan.

1. Stop all application, scheduled, API, and ODBC access to the affected files.
2. Back up the encrypted database and its matching structures, administration configuration, and key records.
3. Inventory every member of each group whose encryption key will be cleared. Include members in other applications or databases if any exist.
4. Select the same eligible DMO files used during encryption. Repeat the selection for any additional related applications.
5. Export all affected encrypted files with Export Files (CSV), without headings.
6. Check every export count and preserve every CSV before changing group or file keys.

Do not clear a shared group's key after exporting only the files visible in one application. A group change affects all its members.
