Choose a Compatible Crystal Reports Version

Crystal Reports 2016 is a 32-bit client and cannot use this edition's 64-bit driver. Use the matching 32-bit cookbook when choosing that client. Keep the report client's architecture separate from the Windows and APPX server architectures.

Use SAP Crystal Reports 2025 Patch 1, version 14.4.0.5335, 64-bit, with the supplied Dharma 14.01 x64 driver. This test used the matching 6.2.1 engine and gateway, System DSN AppxODBC, dictionary appx, blank Service, gateway TCP 1992 and Socket backend TCP 31062. The installed executable is win64_x64\crw64.exe; its parent directory's Program Files (x86) name does not make this executable 32-bit.

The direct ODBC (RDO) SQL command creates and refreshes an eight-record report, but its Unicode-storage text is incorrect. Both native PDF exports contain 22 differing values among the 32 projected values. For the nearest verified complete four-field report, see 5.5.4 with Crystal Reports 2016 and Dharma 14.01 x86. That uses a different engine, gateway and client architecture; it is not a driver-only repair for this edition.
