Decide What to Install on Each Computer

Install the gateway where it can reach APPX. Install the driver on every client computer. Install ASQL on the administration computer that maintains SQL definitions. Client applications reuse the shared gateway dictionary; they do not each import a private copy of APPX records.

The examples put all components on one Windows computer. For a remote client, change DSN Host to the gateway hostname. For a remote APPX backend, change the gateway dictionary's APPX_DATA_SERVER. These are separate connections.
