Help LibreOffice Find a Saved Base Connection

If Calc reports Error accessing data source 'APPX-552-COUNTRY' with com.sun.star.container.NoSuchElementException, check the LibreOffice registration before changing the APPX gateway or password. A profile that does not contain the named registration cannot find that saved Base connection. The 5.5.1 registration example shows the reproduced error with this LibreOffice runtime.

  1. Confirm that APPX-552-COUNTRY.odb still exists and that the current LibreOffice process is 32-bit.
  2. Open Tools → Options → LibreOffice Base → Databases in that same profile.
  3. Select New. Set Database file to the existing .odb file, and Registered name to exactly APPX-552-COUNTRY, matching the workbook's saved source name.
  4. Select OK, then OK in Options. If a registration already exists but its file moved, use Edit and correct its path instead of adding a conflicting second name.
  5. Return to the workbook, select a cell in the database range, and use Data → Refresh Range. Supply the APPX login when requested.

A Windows System DSN is computer configuration; a LibreOffice registered database belongs to a LibreOffice user profile. Copying the ODS or .odb alone does not create that registration. Keep each connection layer's name and location in the deployment notes so a moved workbook can be repaired without rebuilding the shared APPX SQL definitions.
