Chapter 5: Read APPX Data with Excel, Access and LibreOffice
Help LibreOffice Find a Saved Base Connection
If Calc reports Error accessing data source 'APPX-551-COUNTRY' with com.sun.star.container.NoSuchElementException, check the LibreOffice registration before changing the APPX gateway or password. This test reproduced that message after reopening the workbook in a different profile that did not contain the registration.

- Confirm that APPX-551-COUNTRY.odb still exists and that the current LibreOffice process is 32-bit.
- Open Tools → Options → LibreOffice Base → Databases in that same profile.
- Select New. Set Database file to the existing
.odbfile, and Registered name to exactly APPX-551-COUNTRY, matching the workbook's saved source name. - Select OK, then OK in Options. If a registration already exists but its file moved, use Edit and correct its path instead of adding a conflicting second name.
- Return to the workbook, select a cell in the database range, and use Data → Refresh Range. Supply the APPX login when requested.
A Windows System DSN is computer configuration; a LibreOffice registered database belongs to a LibreOffice user profile. Copying the ODS or .odb alone does not create that registration. Keep each connection layer's name and location in the deployment notes so a moved workbook can be repaired without rebuilding the shared APPX SQL definitions.
