Chapter 1: Before You Start
Identify the Server, Ports and Connection Names

localhost means the computer running the program. On a separate Windows client, replace the DSN's Host with the gateway server's hostname. The gateway dictionary's APPX_DATA_SERVER identifies the APPX server, which can be a different computer.
