Choose 32-bit Excel and Access

Install 32-bit Microsoft 365 Apps, including Excel and Access, using a suitable license. Close Office programs before changing an Office installation and remove an incompatible earlier Office installation through its supported uninstaller.

With Microsoft's Office Deployment Tool, use this configuration file, saved as office-32.xml beside its setup.exe:

Use the Product ID covered by the installed product license; O365ProPlusRetail is the Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise product used here. From Command Prompt as administrator in that folder, run each command separately:

.\setup.exe /download .\office-32.xml
.\setup.exe /configure .\office-32.xml

Complete the displayed setup and licensing steps, sign in with a licensed account, and check File → Account → About Excel or About Access for 32-bit before connecting.
