Install ChartDirector

1. Download the Linux x86_64 PHP archive from the ChartDirector downloads page.
2. Record its SHA-256 checksum and retain the original archive with your deployment record. The vendor updates the archive behind a stable download URL; the saved checksum identifies your exact copy.
3. Extract it under /opt so the library is /opt/ChartDirector/lib.

Install freetype, fontconfig and dejavu-sans-fonts before running the APPX installer on a minimal Rocky image. Its bundled Java runtime uses FreeType even for unattended installation. These prerequisites do not require a web server or desktop environment.

sudo dnf install -y freetype fontconfig dejavu-sans-fonts

Keep the complete lib directory, including libchartdir.so, phpchartdir.php and fonts. Keep its files readable by the APPX runtime identity and its directories traversable. The runtime account needs write access to chart output, not to the vendor library.
