This guide installs PHP ChartDirector for APPX 5.5.4 on Rocky Linux 9, Rocky Linux 10 or Windows Server 2025. It covers the PHP configuration, the APPX chart parameters, and a first chart through the APPX desktop client. The later chapters explain how to use a chart in an application screen or PDF report.

APPX starts PHP as a separate command line program. Apache, IIS, PHP-FPM, a web root and an HTTP port are not required for this procedure. Keep ChartDirector and chart output outside any public web directory. An existing PHP website can use a different PHP installation and configuration.

Choose the PHP edition. Download ChartDirector for PHP. The newer version numbers offered for ChartDirector C++ and .NET are different products and do not identify the PHP release.

APPX 5.5.4 provides a 32-bit engine. Its Linux installer labelled 64-bit also installs that 32-bit engine.
