Image-Level Event Points

Image-level event points include Pre-Display, Pre-Display/Verify, Option Intercept, and Verify. File-level event points will also be executed for any file that is accessed with statements at the image level, including the PCF.

For a very simple input process in change mode, the order of frame- and image-level event points before displaying an image is: frame-level Select Image, image-level Pre-Display/Verify, image-level Pre-Display, and frame-level Global Pre-Display. After an image displays, the order is: image-level Option Intercept, frame-level Global Option Intercept, image-level Verify, and image-level Pre-Display/Verify. The sequence of event point execution changes depending on the mode or interactive phase, and is easily complicated by the addition of multiple frames or optional or automatic child processes.

Image-related statements, such as BLINK and NO INPUT, can only execute in image-level event points. They are ignored in all other event points.
