Chapter 3-16: Using Event Points
Effect of Scrolling Frames on Event Point Chronology
In change, delete, or inquire modes, APPX attempts to fill a frame with images before displaying it to a user. (In add mode, APPX adds a single image at a time.) As a result, APPX does not display a screen after executing the Global Pre-Display event point, but instead interrupts the normal sequence and executes End of Frame. It then reads the next record, and repeats the same sequence. This process continues until the frame is completely filled or until APPX runs out of records. During this process, the interactive phase is set to data scroll.
When the frame is filled, APPX rereads the first record on the screen and executes all of the event points for this first record.
