Making Selections

The following rules apply when using the mouse to select individual objects or groups of objects on an image:

·    Click an object to select it and clear any previous selections.

·    ctrl-click an object to select it and retain any previous selections. This is required when selecting two or more objects to align or size. When two or more objects are selected in this manner, the selection border around the last item selected will be blue. All other selected items will have a selection border that is red. The item with the blue selection border is used by the alignment and sizing tools to determine how to align or size the other selected items.

·    Drag a rectangle around any combination of the above to select all objects within the rectangle. This will also clear any previous selections.
