---+ Copy Security _This utility allows you to copy the Security Hierarchy and Access Control Lists from one entity to another._
%TOC% ---++ Overview: This utility allows you to copy the Security Hierarchy and Access Control Lists from one entity to another. For example, you can copy the setup for one Database to another Database. ---++ Description: When you run this option, you will see the following screen: Start by double clicking the 'From' entity in the table on the right hand side. The information will be transferred to both the 'From' and 'To' fields. You can change anything in the 'To' fields, with the following restrictions: * You cannot leave any gaps in the hierarchy * You cannot copy to a different level, ie, you cannot copy from a Workgroup to a Department. * 'From' and 'To' must be different. When you click 'Execute', the copy will be performed. The Copy will replace everything in the 'To' entity with everything in the 'From' entity, as well as everything at the lower levels. For example, if you copy an existing Role to another Role, that target Role and all users will be deleted first, then the 'From' role and all of it's users will be copied to the 'To' Role. The copy transfers the Security Hierarchy as well as the Access Control Lists. ---++ Comments: _Read what other users have said about this page or add your own comments._
%COMMENT% -- Main.JeanNeron - 2012-11-01
