.TEXT INITIALIZE

This subroutine is called to initialize or reinitialize a text object.

Usage:

      PASS         <text_spec_name>           FIELD            SHARE? N
      GOSUB    0CD .TEXT INITIALIZE
      *        Check for error
      IF       0CD .TEXT INITIALIZE           NE

Description:

This initializes or reinitializes the specified text object. Initialization removes all the formatting from the specified text and everything is reset to defaults.

<text_spec_name> is a required parameter and the subroutine will cancel if it is not received. If the <text_spec_name> is blank, an error will be returned.

<text_spec_name> can be any name you want to assign to this text object. Once you have created the text object, you can change its attributes using other .TEXT routines, and then use the named object in any subroutine that accepts a text box parameter.

You can also use this to define a text box that is not associated with anything (ie, not a chart title, label, legend title, etc) but contains text you want to appear on the chart. After initializing the text box and setting any other parameters (text, fonts, colors, etc), you must use .TEXT BX ALIGN to indicate where on the chart the text box should be rendered.

The newly initialized text object is set to be the "current" text object.
