Overview

The most significant new feature in Release 5.4 is the ability to connect to an Appx server via a web browser. This allows users to connect to Appx from a desktop, tablet or smart phone without installing any software.

In addition, the following bugs have been corrected:

• Invalid column names when using RDBMS (#1578)
• PDF output always 'expands to fill' (#1665)
• uappxd ignores invalid password (#2105)
• Footer Height Output-Additional Attribute (#3083)
• 'On Key Pause' can be specified for Date fields (#3130)
• X-ref does not find fields in Partial record IO (#3142)
• x-ref loses leading spaces in process names (#3143)
• In 0DX, converting from UTF-8 leaves garbage at the end of the field (#3148)
• Loading css stylesheets in the html editor (#3168)
• .XML IMPORT should not delete the XML source file (#3180)
• 5.3 Background color - scrolling screens (#3198)
• .XML IMPORT doesn't update length in XVALUE (#3203)
• Process Generation - Form Output not correct (#3206)
• SQL Server BEG AT / END AT problem with descending key segments (#3208)
