Overview - APPX Environment Variables

APPX environment variables are used to modify the behavior of APPX at runtime. Behavior can be modified for all sessions of APPX for all users, or for a specific user or users only.

A list of all APPX environment variables is found in Table E-1. Following this table are three sections containing more detailed information regarding the usage and setting of these variables. In each of these major sections, General Environment Variables, Database (RDBMS) Interface Variables, and Debugging Variables, environment variables are grouped alphabetically within category based on the feature of APPX being controlled by the variable.

The final section of this Appendix, Setting Environment Variables, explains where these variables can be set.
