Common Process Specifications


Common process specifications define attributes that are applicable to all processes, regardless of type (input, output, or update, for example). An sample Processes screen is shown in Figure 3-3-2.

Processes screens contain the following field in common:

·     Process Name identifies a specific process of the type that is entered above. Process names may contain up to 30 uppercase alphanumeric characters must be unique within type and application.

At the bottom of a Processes screen are several options. The process option screens and overlays may vary in content, depending on the type of process you are entering, but they all have certain specifications in common. The following paragraphs describe options common to all types of Processes.
