Platform requirements

The minimum operating system for each APPX release, as the download pages stated when the release came out. Some of these were not updated later: the 6.2 Windows page, for example, still named Windows Server 2003. For a current release, check its installation guide in the Release history, or ask APPX support.

Notes

• The 5.5.4 installer for 64-bit Linux installs a 32-bit APPX engine.
• HP-UX on PA-RISC was last offered with 5.4.7; Itanium continued to 6.1.
• APPX 4.1 was built on newer operating system levels than 4.0 on several platforms, including AIX 4.3.3, HP-UX 11, Red Hat Linux 6.2, and Solaris 8. The 4.1.4 release notes list them all.
