_This subroutine sets the background image of the "current" chart spec. The image will be tiled across the background of the chart, if you want a singe image, use .CHART SET BG IMAGE instead._

---++ Description:

This subroutine sets a background image for the "current" chart spec. The image will be tiled across the background of the chart. This routine receives *image_pathname* as an optional parameter.

If the parameter is not received or if the value received is blank, then the background image of the chart spec is cleared and the default background color will be rendered.

The *image_pathname* can be either a complete path to a file, or the name of an image in one of the default image search directories (as specified via [[CDChartSetImagePath][.CHART SET IMAGE PATH]]).
