APPX 5.3.1 Patch Bug Fixes

Following is a list of bugs that were fixed in Appx patch release 5.3.1. The bug number, from APPX Bug Tracker (SIRID) is in parenthesis. See Features/Bug Fixes for features in the main 5.3.0 release.

• The Data Exchange application is available for all platforms.
• The CSV Import/Export is available for all platforms.
• Uappxd and OS account password policies for users without OS passwords. (#2028)
• appxLoginMgr, openLDAP authentication and bogus passwords (#2307)
• Change All References ignores process type (#2307)
• Unable to map § as option key (#2660)
  • A new syntax has been added to '-mapOptionKey': #key code:character. For some characters, the client needs both the key scan code and the actual character. If you are having trouble mapping the desired key to the option key, you may have to use the new syntax.
    For example, to map the § key, you would use:
    -mapOptionKey=#167:§
    This will consistently map the option key to the § keyboard character.
    To determine the correct key code to use, in the 'debug' section of the client preferences is an option to turn on key codes: -showKeyCodes=true. This will display the key code when you press the key. This can be enabled/disabled after logging in, if desired.
    The old syntax of java key name is still supported.
• HTML Editor cannot be disabled (#2862)
• HTML Editor widget enabled in Inquire Mode (#2875)
• Can't determine Java Key Names (#2915)

• 0DX import fails when calling UTF transcode routine (#2933)
• Check for Item overlap crashes (#2935)
• xml importer does not import embedded tags correctly (#2937)

• Orphan Detection for Widgets ignores PDF specification (#2938)
• .UTIL CHECK SECURITY truncates security code passed if more than 4 characters (#2939)
• .UTIL CHECK SECURITY does not allow for security code 0000 (#2940)
• .UTIL CHECK SECURITY does not appear to be returning the value of the security code (#2941)
• 0DX Field size too small (#2943)
• XML importer skips empty fields (#2945)
• XML import drops closing tags (#2946)

• Large File - Verify Integrity Failed (#2949)
• Table Resource Name missing on non-Intel platforms (#2953)
  • When migrating between Intel and RISC platforms, you must run 'Sync Design Elements' on the target platform
• .TEXT FIND does not handle 0 or space value for <len_of_text> (#2954)
• Duplicate labels on .FILE routines (#2955)
• Memory Leak using SQL Server (#2966)
• 0DX Import fails >100,000 lines (#2970)
• Edit Table Source (#2971)
• Additional Attributes flag in Data Dictionary does not reset (Redmine 518)
• Date field mask in table source definition ignores AM/PM (Redmine 517)
• Numeric field mask in Table Source definition is inconsistent with trailing zeroes (Redmine 516)
• Crash occurs on scan if primary key is not on the screen (Redmine 515)

Known Issues

• The reconnect feature is not yet available for the Windows platform
