_This subroutine inserts characters into a text/alpha field._

---++ Description:

This subroutine inserts characters into a text/alpha field. The first 3 parameters are required. If any required parameters are missing, the subroutine will CANCEL.

&lt;text_field&gt; is the field to receive &lt;from_field&gt; (Required). This must be PASSed with Share "Y" to return the value.

&lt;insert_pos&gt; is the starting position to receive the characters (Required).

&lt;from_field&gt; are the characters to be inserted (Required).

&lt;start_from&gt; is the starting position in &lt;from_field&gt; from which characters will be inserted (Optional). If not PASSed, will default to 1.

&lt;len_from&gt; are the number of characters to insert (Optional). If not PASSed, then all character in &lt;from_field&gt; starting at &lt;start_from&gt; will be inserted. If &lt;start_from&gt; + &lt;len_from&gt; is longer than &lt;from_field&gt; it will be padded with blanks as required.

Note: This subroutine is designed to operate on Alpha, Text, and Token fields only. The returned results are undefined if you specify any other type of field.
