Security Export

Exports the Security Hierarchy and Access Control Lists for transfer to another system.


Overview:

This utility will transfer the complete Security Hierarchy (Databases, Departments, Workgroups, Roles and Users) and the Access Control Lists for the selected applications to a flat file that can be moved to another system and imported.

Description:

When you run this option, you will see the following screen:

First choose a folder to hold the exported data. This must be a folder accessible from your PC, and can be a folder on your hard drive, a network share, as USB drive, etc.

Next, select the version to be exported and press Enter. The applications in that version will be listed, then select the applications to be exported.

When you click 'Export', the data will be exported to a file ACLEXP.TXT in the selected folder. This can then be transferred to another system and imported.
