  • IMPORTANT: APPX Desktop Client version should at least match the APPX Server version. Older clients may not be able to connect to new server versions.
  • Bug 2823 requires a job to be run to fix the user keymaps - System Administration File Management - Update Keymap
  • Changes in the format of the Role Based Security files require scratch 0SA/Struct/SEC* then run Sys Admin File Management - Create Files

Overview

Installation of APPX 5.3 is accomplished by simply following the steps outlined below for your target platform. Because all platforms use a common Installation Wizard, the installation steps for the various platforms are very similar.
