APPX ODBC 5.5.4 Cookbook (32-bit) - offline examples

Read the cookbook before installing or connecting. These examples were checked
with the matching APPX 5.5.4 engine, gateway and ASQL, and the separate
official Dharma 14.01 x86 client driver from the APPX 6.2.1 package. The supplied
legacy driver is not the accepted client configuration. The gateway uses port
1992; the separate APPX backend uses 31055 (Socket) in the test environment.
Use your own server, ports and authorized login. Default DSN: AppxODBC.
Gateway dictionary: appx. All ODBC clients in this edition are 32-bit.
Leave the optional ODBC Service field empty.  Blank uses the sqlnw TCP alias;
check C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\services on each client for the
correct "sqlnw 1992/tcp" mapping.
Service is not the database name and is different from Services.msc, which
manages Windows background programs. A saved workbook/report can override
the DSN, so clear an old Service value in that connection too.

setup-554-compatibility-driver.ps1 and prepare-554-gateway-runtime.ps1:
conditional setup helpers; follow their administrative cookbook recipes.
query-appx-country-32.ps1: interactive credential prompt, count and sample.
read-appx-odbc-32.ps1: query objects, positional parameters, CSV/JSON support,
metadata, actual loaded-driver diagnostics, timeouts and row limits.
Use the site's approved execution policy. Keep passwords out of commands.

COUNTRY.sql: qualified read-only Base query, COUNTRY ordered.
COUNTRY-report.sql: four-field Crystal report query.
COUNTRY-expected.csv: seven checked records and all nine fields, with character
padding trimmed and nulls represented by empty fields. Dates use ISO text.
COUNTRY-columns.csv: focused driver metadata; Size is not a physical APPX offset.

APPX-554-COUNTRY.odb: Base ODBC connection and saved COUNTRY ordered query.
APPX-554-COUNTRY.ods: checked Calc snapshot and live import range Sheet1.A1:I8.
Base does not embed a business-record database. Live queries and workbook
refresh require the driver, gateway, APPX service and authorized login.
No password is saved. The tested LibreOffice executable is 26.2.6.3 x86.

For another LibreOffice profile, open Tools > Options > LibreOffice Base >
Databases. Register the accompanying ODB at its new path under exactly
APPX-554-COUNTRY. Open the ODS in that same 32-bit installation/profile,
select a cell inside the imported range and use Data > Refresh Range.
Supply your password when prompted. Copying the files does not create the
Windows DSN or the LibreOffice registration.

SHA256SUMS.txt covers these examples and this README. The scripts-only ZIP
retains the prior download name; the offline ZIP includes the full set.
PDF viewers may require their Attachments panel to save embedded files.
Attachments do not run automatically. No installers, credentials, license
keys, private reports or internal acceptance scripts are included.
