Process Security for Input Processes


When you select the Input option from the Process Security Management overlay, a screen appears as shown in Figure 5-9.

Once you have selected a process, the following fields are available:

·    Exec specifies the security code that must be included in a user's profile for the user to run this process. If blank, there are no restrictions.

·    Add specifies the security code that must be included in a user’s profile for the user to add records to a file with this process. If blank, there are no restrictions. OK? denotes the non-modifiable checkbox containing either "yes" iconcheckyes.png or "no" iconcheckno.png to indicate whether or not the designer allowed any add rights for this process.

·    Del specifies the security code that must be included in a user’s profile for the user to delete records from a file with this process. If blank, there are no restrictions. OK? denotes the non-modifiable checkbox containing either "yes" iconcheckyes.png or "no" iconcheckno.png to indicate whether or not the designer allowed any delete rights for this process.

·    Chg specifies the security code that must be included in a user’s profile for the user to change records in a file with this process. If blank, there are no restrictions. OK? denotes the non-modifiable checkbox containing either "yes" iconcheckyes.png or "no" iconcheckno.png to indicate whether or not the designer allowed any change rights for this process.
