Disposition Definitions File Maintenance


Disposition Definitions File Maintenance from the Configuration menu is used to define Disposition processes that control the running of jobs and printing of reports. The Disposition Definitions File Maintenance screen is shown in Figure 2-25:

The Disposition Definitions File Maintenance screen contains the following fields:

·    Db ID specifies the database ID the disposition is normally used in. If left blank, the disposition can be used in any database.

·    App ID specifies the application ID the disposition is normally used in. If left blank, the disposition can be used in any application.

·    Disposition Name allows you to assign a name to the disposition.

·    User ID specifies the user that normally uses the disposition. If left blank, any user can use the disposition.

·    Show Dsp? indicates whether or not the disposition should be displayed to the user for editing at run time. You may choose not to display the disposition if it contains parameters that should not be modified. Click the checkbox to toggle between “yes” iconcheckyes.png and “no” iconcheckno.png.

·    User Sel? indicates whether or not a different disposition can be selected by a user at run time to use in lieu of this disposition.

·    Show Rpt? indicates whether or not the Report Options section of the disposition screen should be displayed to the user.

·    Show Prt? indicates whether or not the Print Options section of the disposition screen should be displayed to the user.

·    Show BG? indicates whether or not the Background Job Options screen should be displayed to the user.

     The screen also contains these options:

·    Job Cntl displays an overlay that allows you to indicate whether or not the job should be run in background (if available with your operating system). It also allows you to indicate whether or not the user can toggle this checkbox between “yes” iconcheckyes.png and “no” iconcheckno.png at run time.

·    Report Opts displays an overlay that allows you to define certain report parameters and indicate whether or not they can be edited by users at run time. See the Disposition section of the APPX User Manual for descriptions of these parameters.

·    Printer Opts displays an overlay that allows you to define certain printer parameters and indicate whether or not they can be edited by users at run time. See the Disposition section of the APPX User Manual for descriptions of these parameters.

·    BG Job Opts displays an overlay that allows you to define certain background job parameters and indicate whether or not they can be edited by users at run time. See the Disposition section of the APPX User Manual for descriptions of these parameters.

·    User Def Flds displays an overlay that allows you to create certain user-defined parameters and indicate whether or not they can be edited by users at run time. See the Disposition section of the APPX User Manual for descriptions of these parameters.
