As the APPX system or database administrator, you need to be familiar to some extent with all aspects of the APPX environment, including application design and the run time environment. The APPX User Manual describes for end users how to run APPX applications. There is another manual called the Designer Reference Manual which describes all of the functions of application design. You should be familiar with these two manuals because they contain references to the system administration function and occasionally direct readers to either the system or database administrator.

In addition, because APPX operates in several different computer environments, the APPX User Manual cannot describe every type of computer terminal, keyboard, or printer. You may need to supply manuals or training guides that describe for users how to use your specific computer terminals, keyboards, or printers.

There is also an installation guide that describes how to install APPX on your computer. You need to complete the installation procedure before using any of the screens described in this manual.
