SUBMIT PROCESS

This field controls whether or not a process is submitted to background. If the end user selects the Background option from the DISPOSITION input screen, this field is automatically set to Y.

If background processing is selected for a job stream, any subsequent child process that is invoked as a separate task will be submitted to background independently.

Not all hardware platforms support background processing.
