Inquiry Process Concepts

Inquiry processes have most of the characteristics of output processes, including all of the same kinds of frame classes. They differ from output processes in only three ways: 1) the assumption is made that the image is going to the screen so the default width is 80 columns and the Print On Screen value is set to Y; 2) the assumption is made that the user wants a specific record, or set of records, so the process definition function creates an input frame that executes before the output and requests the record’s key; and 3) there is no Print Beside feature.
