Same As Domains

A Same As domain shares the same characteristics as a domain in another application. This allows you to define fields throughout your database with the same characteristics while ensuring that all fields in an application reference a local domain.

The Same As domain overlay, shown in Figure 2-3-20, allows you to identify a domain in another application within your database that has the same characteristics required for a domain in your current application. It automatically displays after you complete the entries on the Domains specifications screen if the Type you select is SAME AS.

The Same As domains overlay contains the following field:

·     Same As Domain identifies a domain in another application within your database that has the same characteristics required for the local domain.
