Relationships Between Processes

You have now learned about the nine different types of processes in APPX and the functions you can perform with each type. An essential part of application design is to specify the relationship between the processes you define. For example, when a user selects an option from a menu, an input screen may appear. Or another option when selected, may cause the generation of a report preceded by a query. In both of these examples, the functions operate together properly as a result of the specifications you provide. With the exception of a start-up menu that displays automatically when a user first enters APPX, no APPX process is invoked until you specify its relationship with at least one other process.
