Restructuring Files

As noted previously, you or your database administrator must run the restructure facility when a structural change is made to one or more files in an application. A structural change is one that affects the layout of a record. Examples of this include adding a field to a record, deleting a field from a record, or changing the length of an existing field. APPX does not allow users to run a process that references a file if it needs to be restructured.
